Hi,
My brother has got H1B visa approved recently. He has 2 additional employment locations (California and Ohio) listed in his petition in addition to the primary location Dallas, TX. His offer letter was also issued (in Sep-2022) based on the primary location. During the visa interview process, he was given 221g and Chennai US consulate in India sent an email to his employer requesting additional information about the work location. Due to the recent changes to the project, the employer responded to the consulate that he will be working at one of the additional locations listed in the petition, which is California. After that, his visa has been approved and he is ready to travel.
Now the question is should he travel to Dallas (since this is listed as primary location in his petition) or California (since the employer responded to the consulate thru email that he will be working in California). He has both locations listed in his petition, so wondering which is the safest and correct option here?
