Hello!
I recently switched my status from F1 to H1B (while I was in the U.S.). While I was on F1 STEM OPT, I got my i140 approval. For H1B, the next step is to fill out DS-160 and schedule a consular interview in my home country to get a visa stamp which will allow me to travel internationally. On the DS-160 form, I need to mention that I have an approved i140.
Question: Would it potentially create any issues for the H1B stamping process to have an i140 approval (received while on F1)? Or is it safe to travel for a stamp since I already have the H1B approval which allows immigration intent?
Thanks!
