  • H1B holder leaving and entering the US

I’m currently on H1B (I-797 valid till 2028) and am planning to travel abroad. I needed to get my I-94 reissued (passport was renewed) and was wondering what other’s experience was when re-entering the country https://100001.onl/https://1921681254.mx/ .

I also have my old passport just in case, but is there anything else I should bring? Original I-797 when re-entering?

    Hi,
If you have visa already then you can just cross the border and update your I-94 as per your new passport and H1B validity. when you go through CBP verification, normally you will need below mentioned documents.
    1. H1B Approval notice( Copy of notice is fine)
    2. Passport
    3. Recent most 3 paystubs
    4. Employment verification letter
    5. Last year W2
    6. Approved Leave of absence form

    Thanks
