Exit and Enter USA to get updated I-94 validity date

My i-94 validity date going to expire this Nov end. My employer can not submit extension petition to USCIS because it need new LCA and because of Govt shutdown this step is Paused.
Now only option i can see here is to exit USA and enter USA to get i-94 validity date updated as per Visa end date (23-March-2026). Last time when i enter USA my passport was valid till Nov end only this is the reason they put i-94 stamp as per passport expiry date. At present i have got my renewed passport already. Please share comments on below:

1.Please share your experience on this kind of situation.
2.which USA border i should preferably choose to exit and enter USA.
3.What documents i need to carry with me.
4.Same situation applies to my kid also. Should i plan my USA re-entry along with my kid and spouse. Or Just me and my kid is enough.
5.Is there any risk factor here ? what else i need to plan here which i am missing.

Hi,
Instead of travelling outside and cross the border for extending your I-94, better you reach first local CBP office to request for extending your I-94 as per the new documentations. I see many guys done this with local CBP office. If they deny taking action from their end, then you can plan for crossing the border to extend I-94.

I believe that a petition only for extension of an unchanged, previously approved employment, it does not require this evidence.
