221g Pink Slip at New Delhi US embassy H1B renewal

After almost 5 months i have received email from Chennai Consulate to submit my old expired passport.
I had my L1A/L2 Visa interview on Nov 14th 2012 at Chennai and was handed over 221G.
Has anybody has faced this situation. I don't know if this a good news.

All the best should be good news for u and just let us know once u receive ur visa.My interview was nov 8th 2012 still waiting for any news but nothing as yet lets see all the best for u.

Thats a positive sign...u might be getting visa by tomorrow...let me know if you hear anything

Chennai and now its almost 145 days still waiting and just today 1st april 2013 in the ceac website my case been updated.but still pending in process.
and what about yours?

Today the Status of my application changed to "Issued" on CEAC web site. I hope to receive the Passport on Monday considering the weekend in between. Hope there are no surprises now.

Today the Status of my application changed to "Issued" on CEAC web site. I hope to receive the Passport on Monday considering the weekend in between. Hope there are no surprises now.

Today my case status updated date changed to 07-February-2013, but it still shows administrative processing. Not sure what did they do with my case today.

Status updates

I got my visa in 38 days, had my interview on 21st Dec, got 221g pink slip, emailed documents the same day, status first updated on 31st Dec and stayed the same till 28th Jan. Changed to Issued on 29th Jan and collected on 30th.

Today my case status updated date changed to 07-February-2013, but it still shows administrative processing. Not sure what did they do with my case today.

Hi Guys,

Please comment on my case here. I am a direct employee of a big US Insurance firm and came to India to attend my brother's wedding. I am in my 5th year of H1B and went to New Delhi with my wife for stamping.

Here are my details -

Interview Date: 11th January 2013
Interview went smoothly and the VO said that your visa is approved and you should receive it in 7 days. No documents asked.
Same evening after the interview I received an email asking for a copy of my I797.
Submitted the same on 16th January 2013.
I looked up my case online and it was put into Administrative Processing.
Then, on 25th January I received a call from VFS that my Wife's passport is ready for pick-up. I received her passport and it was stamped with the VISA and her case also showed as "Issued" on CEAC website. I was still waiting for my passport as my case still showed Administrative Processing.
Then, on 30th January I received a call from VFS that my passport is ready for pick-up. I went to collect my passport and to my surprise it wasn't stamped, and a 221G refusal notice was attached where they asked for a New Passport.

I obtained the new passport under Tatkal Scheme and got the passport in 2 days. I submitted the old and new passport on February 4th at VFS New Delhi office and the passport was delivered to consulate on 5th February morning. I still haven't received any update and my case still shows under administrative processing on CEAC web site.

I am freaking out here as I already changed my tickets once. Please provide any insights into my case if you can.
