Leaving notice include paid leave?

Hi,

I have a contract with employer that each party should give 4 weeks written notice before leaving.

My personal 5 paid leave is still pending.

I am planning to transfer to another employer after giving him 4 week notice.

I can give notice like my last day of work is 8/31 and from 8/27-8/31 (5 days) I will use my paid leave?

Depends on whether your company policy allows leave to be used against the notice period. In a few companies, they pay you for the unused vacation when you quit but do not allow to use it in lieu of notice period
