In visa process and expecting a child...
Hello. I am looking for some advice as to how to proceed.
My wife is a USC and is expecting our first child in October. I am a UK Citizen currently going through the I-130 process with the aim of getting LPR status to allow emigtation in 2014.
My question is what do we need to do do to register the child to enter the USA when we emigrate (hopefully) next year? Will the child need an I-130 filing? Can we just apply directly for their US Passport / citizenship? Do we need to file for something else? We will be getting the child a UK passport once they are born so we can travel overseas.
