  • Travel with green card that has last name and first name swapped

My aunt's green card has her first name and last name swapped. Now she wants to travel to Vietnam. Will she have any problem when she comes back to the US?

She lost her Vietnamese passport (which is her country of origin). I mention this because most people travel internationally with their green card AND passport (from the country of origin). And the names on green card and password should match. And I've known people who travel to Vietnam with just green card. I actually did travel to Vietnam with just my green card and came back to the US ok.

Can she have her airline ticket printed exactly the same names (which is swapped) as on the green card? And she can come back to US with no problem?

Are they able to find out that her name is swapped by scanning her green card and compare it against their database?

Should they have the same information on their system since they printed it wrong on her card?
