I've seem to have gotten myself in a little pickle; my permanent residence card has expired and my social security card states that it's "not valid for employment," I am currently unemployed but I have a job interview today. I went to the S.S office this morning and was told that I cannot file for a new S.S card. My U.S citizenship case is pending but would I really have to wait 4-6 months to obtain a new S.S card?? Is there a way around this..?
