  • Are investor visas worth it?

I am American, a hard worker, and work for a tech company.

I would like to settle in the UK future, so I'm saving all my money just in case the UK opens an investor visa sometime in the future.

They had one previously, which costs about $2.4 million USD.

I currently have about $215,000 USD saved up, and found that I'll need to work another 20 years before I hit the amount required for the previous UK investor visa.

Would you say these investor visa's are worth it? As an American, would you do it?

    You may say: https://1921681001.id/

    - There are plenty of other cheaper ways to get into the UK. Why save up for 20 years?

The answer is US salaries are way higher than UK salaries so I'd like to save up in the US first. Going to the UK now as a skilled worker and getting PR that way would be more expensive (I'd lose 5 years of a US salary)

    - Why pay $2.4 million USD to live in a place with many of the same problems as the US? Why not get a cheaper investor visa like Portugal, Spain, Malaysia, etc?

I just like the UK more than most of these places.
