My husband would soon be travelling to US on an L1A visa. Our GC is under process and its at I485 stage, so we both are eligible to apply for EAD+AP (current one expired). Since I need a visa to enter US, I plan to get L2 stamped and travel to US. I can then apply for EAD (either for L2 or GC). However, my question is do I need to stay in US until EAD is approved. Can I travel outside US and return when the EAD is approved. Will it create any problems when I re-enter at the time when EAD is approved?
