WIll my L1B Visa Extended?

Hi I am currently L1B stamped which is expiring in Feb 2010. I am currently staying in India and has not visited US till date. My Company is planning send me to US once market picks. I was left with 7 months of visa.

My question is if i travel to US by next month will there be any problem at the port of entry?

And what are the chances of getting my visa renewed if I wont travel to US before visa expiration?
