Please help me out...its urgent.
I received my L2 Visa on recently from the US consulate, Mumbai. But my name in Visa differs from that of my passport as follows,
In Passport:
Surname: < BLANK>
Given Name: ANAND VEER ANAND
In Visa:
Surname: ANAND
Given Name: ANAND VEER
I wrote the concerned authority to rectify it but they replied as:
"Kindly note a US visa cannot be stamped without a surname and hence in case of passports which do not have a SURNAME and the entire name is printed in the FIRST/GIVEN NAME column, the last word is considered as SURNAME and the remaining is printed as FIRST/GIVEN NAME. Hence please note the format in which the visa is printed is correct and you may proceed with the same".
If this visa stands valid and requires no rectification, kindly someone help me how do I need to fill my name in form I-94.
