Applying for L2 EAD 6 months before expiry of principal applicants L1 visa

Hi

I am currently on L2 visa and my husband s L1 visa is expiring on Jan 25 th 2013.His I 94 expires on jan 25 th 2013 as well. My I 94 expires on March 2015 . If I apply for EAD now is there a possibility that I might get EAD on hand within 2 months ?? Or will they process my EAD only after my husband s L1 visa gets extended ?
