1. Currently on F1- STEM extension ending on 10-15.
2. Current Visa is expired and I have a new passport and old passport (with earlier visa stamp) was lost while I sent for renewal in mail.
3. I will have to get F1- Visa restamped if I travel to India in January.
Also, I'm changing jobs and will be working for UC Berkely.
Will I be taking a big risk in going now and getting my F1 visa restamped? If I get H1B, my travel will be delayed and J1 is something I don't want to consider. Can someone please advise?
