Hi,
My Master's OPT has been denied on the apparent error that I was applying for another Bachelor's OPT (which I had used after graduating my Bachelor's in 2012). I have recently graduated my Master's degree and applied for OPT with all pertinent paperwork, however USCIS seems to have made a mistake believing I was applying for OPT based on my Bachelor's rather than Master's.
What do I do in this situation? I'm currently out of the US because I had a family emergency, but had planned on flying back in about 30 hours. I'm still technically on the 60-day grace period following graduation. Would I be denied entry? Should I enter as a visitor or would that nullify the OPT application? I have a job offer letter, but I guess that wouldn't help re-entry if they see the OPT was denied.
Thank you!
