Hi,
Visitor visa for my parents got rejected on Jan-2012 in chennai consulate. Few reason I could guess are,my wife was pregnant at that time, and my parents did not explain social ties, family ties to great extent. Other reason being, since my father is retired and mother is home maker, they said, the money we send every month to them is the only source of income. They do have home in their name and have fixes deposits in home, but they did not explain that properly. I was the one who sponsored it during that time
Now, its almost two years now, and I am planning to apply for the visitor visa for parents again. This time I am planning on two options
Option-A: I will be still sponsoring the trip. They provide volunteering service for a charity trust which I am planning to highlight. I also plan to highlight the fact they own and maintain a home which they cannot abandon, and they have their elder son settled in India, so they want to come back. My father is also Power of Attorney for me, taking care of my stuffs in India.
Option-B: My elder brother and his family with two kids is planning for applying visitor visa ( they have been in US for 4-5 years, and) and they are in chennai now. I am planning to send my parents along with them for the visitor visa. Question I have is,
a) if they will be interviewed in same slot or will they be interviewed separately
b) If my brother sponsors the trip, would that be a good case?
Can some one please suggest what would be better option?
