I-94 Expires before departure

I entered the country on 7th of September 2005 and my I-94 expires 6th of March 2006. When I entered I told the officer that I have my returning flight leaving on 19th of March. Still my I-94 expires 6th of March.

My problem is now, what should I do with my I-94 that expires 6th of March and my flight leaves 19th of March?
And I plan to fly to Hawaii for one week on 8th of March, do I really need to apply for an extension for only 13 days?

If you stay beyond I 94 expiry date without approved extension, it will be recorded as overstay and hurt your future attemps.
