I am a Belgian citizen and wish to visit the USA for 6 months. I cannot find anywhere whether this means 180 days or full 6 months. Moreover, I have read but I shouldn't apply for a B2 tourist visa to the USA too early. I do not remember where I've read this, but it said that there shouldn't be more than 6 months between its issuing date and the date of entry. Is this true?
