Sister & brother-in-law visa rejected

Hi,

I have recently applied B2 visa for my sister, brother-in-law and nephew. It got rejected after the following conversation:

VO: What is your name?
Sis: xyz

VO: What do you do?
Sis: Government Teacher

VO: Who is present there?
Sis: Brother

VO: What does he do?
Sis: Software Engineer

VO: In which company does he work?
Sis: xyz

VO: How did he went to US?
Sis: Company xyz came to India and they selected him. We also have recommendation letter from company xyz (but refused to see it)

VO: Where does he live?
Sis: xyz

VO: Which visa does he have?
Sis: Do not know - but I have photocopy of his passport - do you want to have a look?

VO: Refused (to take a look at passport copy)
Sis: Tried to find the name of the visa but failed (asked brother-in-law too but they got confused and were not able to find it)

VO: Where does your mom & dad live?
Sis: They live in Punjab and last year they went to US for 2 months

VO: What do you do? (to brother-in-law)
Brother-in-law: Whole sale medicine merchant

Can someone please guide - what's the reason for rejection of visa?
