We are also in the exact same situation.
Only difference my parents has to attend chennai counsulate. If you got any luck please update and we also let you know if we find any way around.

Hurrah!! Today we got May 19th at Chennai.

We had saved application for both my parents in a group. I have been trying continously since the site came back up, through the "retrieve/modify saved application" link.

Once it shows the calander of August, you can select back arrow "<<" for previous months. I used that but the program exits after 5 or 6 clicks. So you can come back all the way to March and may be back up to April and it exits.

I used a little trick after I come to "May" month I click on "Save Application and Exit" and in the next page click on the "back" button.. Again exit and come back (do not use the browser back button) this allows me to check the dates for little more time than the usual six clicks.

Hope this helps others here with this horrible website.

2. I have a date in August for my Mom.I want to reschedule to April/May.

3. So will have to cancel the date in August and then try?

4. Also will I get the date in the same language -Tamil?

5. The travel agents filed the DS156 forms and booked the date for my Mother, so can I try to reschedule or only the travel agents have the rights .How does it work.What info do I need to have from the travel agent before I try to reschedule?

As per the website reschedule only allows to pospone (NO Prepone) but couple of people here were successful in pre-poning using reschedule. I cancelled my June 16th and redid the applications.

Above two are your call, I took a gamble and it paid off. You could just keep on trying reschedule could work as it worked for couple of others.

One person got Hindi, so theoretically you could get Tamil.
