b1/b2 visa renewal after more than a year expiration

Hi.

I would like to renew visa for parents whose 10 year multiple entry b1/b2 visa expired 13 months back.

Since they are renewing in same visa category are they eligible for drop-box option?

Also can I fill the DS-160 for them as they are not computer savy?

Can I still sponsor parents' visa while I'm in between getting a new job or do I need have a job to sponsor them? I will appreciate if you could share your experience if you were in similar situation.
