A few weeks back when my mother who is on a B1 Visitor visa was travelling from Connecticut to FL with me was questioned why her name is not matching the name on ticket because they had put the given name as FNU(First Name Unknown),then i explained to another officer that she didnt have a last name or first name and it was all one name and they let her travel,what is the way to avoid this problem in future.
She has her surname her full name and given name as FNU but the immigration officer had given both family name and given name as the same name in the I94 slip..so what name should i book the ticket to travel within USA?Can both the first name and last name be the same or can the first name be FNU?
