Tourist visa/ H1B Visa

Hi.. I am in the US on B1 visa and have invited my wife to join me as a tourist for 02 weeks. She already has her H1B stamped. Can she get a Tourist visa in addition to her existing H1B without affecting her H1B visa status? If yes, can I get her H1B extended when she is in US on the tourist visa. In that event I would seek assistance from your firm to get her H1B extended once she is in US.
Request your response asap, she is planning for her trip by next week end (she has already applied for her Tourist Visa and has the interview scheduled on coming Tuesday)
