Visitor visa for my aunt

My uncle is a US citizen. My aunt is his direct sister. Can my uncle sponsor my aunt to come to the US? My aunt has come to the US before in 1999 and she has gone back on time. If she comes to the US, can she come and stay with me? My uncle stays in boston and i am in NY. will this be an issue?
