  • B2 visa under AP - need some guide

I am a US Citizen. My wife went to the US consulate in Shanghai today for her visa interview.

    The interview went like this:

VO: What's the purpose of the trip?
A: To attend my brother-in-law's wedding and to see my family in New York.

VO: How long do you intend to stay in the US?
A: 1 month. I have an affidavit from my husband supporting my case. Can you please take a look?

VO took the affidavit (it was a package including a form I-134 affidavit of support, my personal statement, my employer's statement verifying my income, evidence showing my assets(bank
statements, mutual funds, stocks, etc.). VO took a close look at my personal statement but glanced through the others.

VO: When were you married? Are you in immigration proceeding?
A: Shows the marriage certificate. Yes, a form I-130 was submitted and pending for my case, however, I will not file a change of status if I can go to the US this time. I will return and continue my I-130 application here in China.

    VO: What's your highest degree?
    A: High school.

VO: So you were refused a visa back in 2016?
    A: Yes.

VO then gave her a red slip that indicates her application will go to AP and took her passport.

Is there a chance that she will be approved? She was refused twice for a B2 visa(both in 2016).

Thank you in advance for any replies!
