Use Vietnam visa with emergency passport (US)?

Pardon me if this has been asked, but I was unable to find via the search function.

My US passport was recently stolen and I now have a new emergency passport. I have an upcoming e-visa for Vietnam, however it was associated with my previous passport number https://1921681001.id/. Can I still travel or will I need to reapply for a new Vietnamese visa, lest I get turned away at the border.

For whatever it is worth, I have a copy of my the previous passport face page as well as a local police report stating the theft.
