My girlfriend is wanting to study in the UK starting next September, coming from the USA.
As US citizens can travel to the UK without a visa, would she be able to enter the UK before the 1-month period her student visa activates and then stay in the country, seen as she would then be transferring to a student visa, or would she have to leave before the 1-month period before her course begins and then re-enter the country, this time on her student visa rather than a general tourism allowance?
