Name correction in new passport compared to valid VISA

My parent passport has valid US visa stamped on old passport. But the newly issued passport (after renewal) has a minor spelling correction - one letter is corrected in last name.
so what supporting documents are required during travel via. Lufthansa and at port of entry ?

Will there be an option to change the name in VISA ?
Also, how the renewal process in future will be ?

Example - old passport and has valid visa with name - Aepple and new passport corrected - Aapple
