  • Caring for grandkids on Visitors visa

My mother-in-law needs to come frequently to the U.S. to take care of my kids since my wife is currently living in India. She has made 3 trips to the U.S. in the last 15 months on a visitors visa and has stayed in the U.S. for 12 of the last 15 months. She just completed the 3rd trip and got back to India a week ago.
If she makes another trip to the U.S. in October of this year, is there a risk of being denied entry due to frequent visits?
Would it help or hurt her case if she says that she is here to help care of her grand kids since her daughter is away? My kids are 10+ yrs old, so she will not be "babysitting". And if it helps, would it be beneficial for her to carry a letter from me / my wife explaining the situation?

    Thanks for your help.
