HongKong Transit Visa Sri Lankan Passport

Hi guys hoping someone can help.

I am a Sri Lankan passport holder travelling from Colombo to Shanghai and back via Cathay Pacific.

Do I need a transit visa for Hong Kong? Has anyone travelled to Shanghai from Colombo on this route successfully without a visa? My transit is less than 2 hours each way.

Please note I understand transit visa is not needed when travelling to AU, US, EU, US and Canada on Cathay Pacific but I am not sure what the rules are for when travelling other cities.
