Hi everyone my husband had his interview at the riyadh embassy today all our paper work was fine but the officer said that he has to find out some information on our marriage because we are first cousins and i filled from texas and in texas it is illegal to marry your first cousin. but we got legally married in india is our marriage consider legal in texas? also the officer didnt give any paper to my husband and he also return my husband passport back. is that a bad sign??? If anyone could help that will be great


P.S i contacted the NVC and USCIS offices they were no help

Unfortunately, they have to go by the law of the state in which you live. If it is illegal in Texas your husband will not be able to get any immigration benefits based on marriage.
