Walk-in submission of OCI & Renunciation packages on behalf of my parents at CKGS NY. The process has changed in 2017, where original US Passport has to be submitted along with OCI application. CKGS will send US PP to CGI NY, and after verification at CGI NY, it will be returned to CKGS and back to applicant in a week.
OCI Timeline:
2/3/2017 -Application Received & Verification Complete
2/6 -Appln is 'Under Process' at CKGS
2/7 -Appln In-Transit & Under Process at Consulate
2/17 -US Passport has been collected
3/7 -OCI Card Received at the CKGS application centre
3/10 - OCI card picked up by applicant
