Delays:
1) Original US Passport was delivered to BLS via FedEx on February 18, 2014. But they acknowledged receipt only on February 25.
2) While BLS and consulate websites claim that passport match-up with OCI takes 5-7 working days, it took them >1 month for the same.
3) It was of great concern that the original passport was stuck at the consulate for >1 month for match-up/U-visa sticker (especially that several US passports were reported stolen from San Francisco Consulate in December 2013). However, BLS inquiries (escalation tickets) were closed without any comments, while CGISF never replied to any email. Advertised telephone numbers also did not work either.
