CKGS, after receiving the applications of my wife and mine, lost/misplaced my wife's India passport and put BOTH the applications on hold. On our request they resumed processing MY applications, after 3 weeks and required my wife to file documents that her passport was lost! Thereon, my application processing has been going through fairly regularly.
UPDATE: Since there was zero communication from the outsourcing after receipt of the documents from Delhi at the Consulate, we went to the Consulate and got both our OCI cards and my cancelled passport. My wife's "Missing/lost" passport" arrived mysteriously on December 29, 2014; that too NOT cancelled and without any cover letter! For days (months?) after our travel back to India, the website is/ was still pending update.
Jai ho. India shining.
