green card abandonment
I am hoping i dont have the same experience as Stephen with the border patrol taking ur green card away (definately not flyinh to Detroit). I am from the uk but worked in the US before i moved back to the middle east 15months ago. Last year someone told me to be careful as the immigration at the airport can take ur green card away and then i will be banned from entering for 10 yrs!! I went back to the US after 8 months away and they were tough and rude at JFK but they let me in, im going back in feb after another 8 months out of the US, Im hoping that they will not say anything, Im going to cross the border to mexico and fly out from there when i leave. When i return i will cross from mexico again, does anyone know if the US will know from my green card that i have been out of the US for a long time? (no-one checks when u leave via mexico)

immigration
I visited usa in 2000. I applied for the first step of immigration. I could stay in USA by paying $1000 as Clinton had passed a bill but respecting the law I went back to Pakistan. It took eight years to appear for interview in the US embassy. After interview it was Administrative Processing. The unique administrative process which no one knows when it completes. One day I got an email from US embassy in which my name was stated wrong and my two children were left ou. When I called the embassy they replied that the names has been left out by mistake. So I sent all the documents and passports of all the family members. After two months I recieved passports of the family members that were listed in the email and the passports of two children. It has been almost 8 months that we are here in USA without our two children. Everry time I call embassy the answer is Administrative Process. Can someone tell me what is this administrative process in the embassy.

COERCED into ABANDONMENT of Green Card
I was brought over to the U.S.A when I was just 1 year old from the U.K. I received my Green Card through my parents and spent most of my years up until I was 26 years old in the U.S.A. I had decided to go to Japan to study, work and see my aging grand parents for a period of 3 years on and off. On my third trip back to the U.S.A. I was questioned by the Detroit Customs Border Patrol, where they intimidated and coerced me into Abandoning my Green Card. The officer told me that I would most likely be banned from coming back to the U.S. for 5-10years if I saw an immigration judge or I could give up my Green Card by signing an I-407 and giving a statement. Since I did not want to risk being banned from the U.S. to see my friends and family, I chose to abandon my Green Card, even though, I did not want to do so. Maybe I should have gotten a re-entry permit, but I thought maintaining yearly visits to my mother's home and doing contracted work would be enough to maintain my ties to the U.S. Apparently Not. So now I am in this stressful and time consuming battle to get my Green Card back and it is uncertain I will get it back. MY ADVICE to GREEN CARD HOLDERS leaving the country for more than 6 months that wish to keep their Green Card- Be very careful that you can show and have evidence that you do not intent to give up your status before you leave the U.S… CUSTOMS BORDER PATROL can be VERY MEAN and Heartless… especially in DETROIT.

Urgent!! Please help ( marriage fraud)
I am a us citizen living in ny. I was married in Bangladesh in 2005 in an arranged marriage. My wife migrated in march of 2008 with a permanent greencard status.

Once she came here after 3 months Ifound out that she was already involved in a relationship with her cousin before the marriage and this marriage was only a scheme to migrate here and to bring her lover/cousin who lives in kuwait but visited her while i was here and they were continuing to scheme..i felt neglected for three years not knowing why (my life was like a hell). I also found a love letters from her cousin-lover. i have reason to believe she was impregnated before coming here as well because back in bangladesh be4 u get ur visa u have to see a doctor and they give a injection of some sort which prevents u from being pregnant and she told me this but soon after she came shecame (2weeks) she took a pregnancy test and was pregnant i took her to doc some doc said she already was pregnant be4 she came but she swore to me its mine.. I asked her what she wanted. She told me she doesn't want to continue our marriage and left to Bangladesh. After 1 month she came back here to live with her uncle. Also her entire family was in on this scheme and all the love they showed me was a fake even more the love she showed me im a fool but it still hurts...

i am heart broken to be honest don't feel like doing anything at the same time do not know what to do with this situation.. if anyone out there knows or can help me through this, i will always pray for u and will appreciate greatly...
Please help.
i have not divorced her yet, and i know this is a fraud but do not know what can be or what to do about it.....

any and all help will be greatly appreciated..i hope i made some sense as this is too much drama in my life enough to cause me to lose my job becuase just dont have the strength to do anything.......
