Sent passport to VFS NY office but no tracking id yet
I sent passports on 14th Nov they got it on 15th, but there is not response from them.
The emails to them are bouncing.
Call center is in Mexico so they don't know anything.
Question : If I go in person do I need to take my dependents with me , I have two passports myself and dependent.
I am worried as I need to go back to India and without passport I cannot.

No Status update on LA CVAC on my passport (Visitor Visa)

Same situation here.
I applied for Canadian Visitor visa for myself and it is approved and request for my original passport to get the visitor visa stamped, I couriered my passport on 8th Nov and received by 9th Nov, till today I haven't heard any tracking number or status, called TT services customer care and chatted with them as well but I haven't get correct response when I will get my passport.
My grand mother is not feeling well, I have travel to India to see her as soon as possible (Nothing Urgent) but unfortunately I don't have the passport to book the tickets and not sure when I can receive.
I would like to travel in-person to LA office from Portland OR and get the passport but do we need to take an appointment, by any chance If I travel to LA will I get my passport on the same day?

Any suggestions can help, thanks in advance.

No status update from LA CVAC

I applied for Canadian visitor visas for myself and my parents on Oct 24th and got request for passports on Nov 2nd. Our passports reached them on Nov 6th along with a few checks. Then got a call for more checks and new consent forms. Sent those and they reached on Nov 9th. I haven't got any status updates after that. I haven't got my tracking ID yet.
I thought the visas will come 2-3 weeks after starting the application but .. :( . My dad had travel plans out of US last weekend. I have rescheduled the flight once because his passport is stuck at the LA CVAC.
No response to any of my emails.
Their online chat worked only one in 5 times and they said they don't know about the status.
Tried so many times to reach them on 888-296-4511 but call doesn't proceed after selecting language as English or French. Anyone having the same issues calling this number?
I'm so worried. Any ideas on what to do next? Thanks!

VAC NY not sending any status on passport
I applied for Canada visitor visa and got email to send passport for stamping. I sent passport to NY VAC (new VAC after 1st Nov-VFS Global) and my UPS tracking no# says that they recieved my passport on 11/7. But it has been 10 days and still I have not received any tracking number or any acknowledgedment from NY VAC.
Their call center people are pathetic and always advise to drop email.
I am still awaiting for their email response for past 2 days.
I am little concerned about my passport now. Anyone else faced similar situation with the new VAC at NY?

Alternative to Los Angeles VAC
I have got a request for Passport submission. I need to submit it to Los Angeles center. But LA center says it is no longer accepting VISAs.
The center does not suggest any alternatives? Where does one send the passport to now?
Also where do i find the VAC fees info from?

i had mailed the passports and other necessary documents to VAC newyork via USPS
10/22 - 4.30 PM, USPS updated the status as Delivered
10/29 - Still no update from VAC on the tracking number or if the passport has been recieved
Any inputs on how to move ahead

Canada Visitor Visa -- NYC September 2018
Background:
I applied for a Canada visitor visa since I had a US visa stamping appointment in Montreal in late september. I have had multiple prior Canada visitor visas, with the last one having expired in early 2018.
Here are the major milestones:
Sep 16th 2018: Submitted application online. Took 3-4hrs to accumulate documents, scan etc.
Sep 17th 2018: CIC website showed that the application is complete at noon. It said they will notify when the start reviewing eligibility.
Sep 19th 2018: CIC website showed (at 450pm) that the application is approved, and to submit passport for finalization.
Sep 20th 2018: I went to the CSC VAC in person at 930am to drop off passport. I was 2nd in queue and met the agent at 945am, provided my passport as well as the passport request letter from the CIC website. They took $32.27 as the processing / to-fro delivery charge from Consulate. I indicated I will pick up in person since I didn't want to lose anytime in mail delivery given I needed to leave on Sep 25th for a Sep 26th US consulate appointment. She said that it takes 5-7 business days for the passport to come back, but said at time she has seen it come back in 2 business days as well. She also mentioned that when I see the status change on the CSC VAC website to being in-transit from the consulate that I could come the next day. Later in the evening the status changed to passport being in transit to the consulate for processing.
Sep 21st 2018: The CIC website showed at around 2pm the details of my passport, as well as the new visitor visa including expiry date. That indicated the visa was issued.
Sep 22nd & 23rd 2018 (Sat/Sun): No movement.
Sep 24th 2018: Status changed on CSC VAC website at around noon that passport is in transit back to the VAC.
Sep 25th 2018: Status changed on CSC VAC website at 945am that passport is ready for applicant pick-up. I was already planning on going there since the lady had previously mentioned to come the day after the status showed the passport was collected from the Consulate and was in transit to the VAC. The consulate is just 10mins away from VAC. I reached there at 1115am, and collected the passport after giving them a copy of my drivers license and signing a form confirming pick-up. They asked that I check the passport outside their office, which I did and everything was in order.
Total time from online application to collecting passport with visa: 6.5 business days
We left for Montreal the same day on 9/25 for appointment at the US consulate in Montreal the next day. I will post that experience separately.

The VAC website says you can order prepaid return label for VAC to overnight your passport back to you.
Does anybody know how to buy the return label?
