I am a postdoctoral researcher on an H1B and my wife on an H-4. Both of us have received our EAD/APs. My I-485 was filed first and I attended my employment-based (EB2/NIW) AOS on Jun 20, which was hold for additional review. Since I-485 of my wife was filed after me, she was not invited to the interview at the same time as mine and perhaps that was the reason the IO did not approve mine too (I should appear at her interview as she is applied through my EB2/NIW). My wife's case has NOT been ready for an interview yet which we do not know why but we hope that happens soon (7.5 months of waiting).
Anyway, I have received an assistant professor job offer that I am considering to accept. The position will be in another state and perhaps require me to revoke my current H1B and jump on to the EAD/AP. So, I change the field office and replace my still valid H1B with staying statusless on the EAD/AP. I wonder if that is advised. Is it too risky? The assistant professor job is permanent and prestigious job and better for my career but I wonder if that jeopardize the fate of my and my wife AOS applications. It might be possible for me to ask the new employer to get an H1B after starting the job but that takes time and I have to switch to EAD/AP surely for a while. I have heard that it is possible to get an H1B from an EAD/AP without leaving the country.
Please advise my dear friends. We have no one but you. No lawyers.
these are all the question which may help you guys. thanks

She divorced her abusive husband last year after he refuse to let her go for awhile. He filed for her change of status as a USC, and treated her like a slave. According to her, they had a big fight before their interview August last 2 years ago. She wanted to divorce and had ask him to cancel the USCIS application he filed for her, he refused saying that he had not finished with her. Story short, they talk it out, went for interview, was given the white paper, fought again over family relation, they both agreed to divorce and she wrote to USCIS to cancel the application with evidence of divorce document last year; request granted. She remarried to a former coworker September last and filed again January 2019.
Question: will her recent application be delayed long or cancelled or ...because of the last application shenanigans? Please let's help a friend. She's super depressed now.
