Adjustment of Status - I-485

This forum has been such a great help and I cannot thank each and everyone of you for the immense support. The journey has finally come to an end after a long wait, I just received update today morning that my case has been approved. Below is my timeline, interview experience and TOC and happy to answer any questions

F2A Timeline (Have been together for 10+ years)
1. I-130 approved: Sept 01, 2016
2. AOS PD : Oct 01, 2017 (have been on H1B since 2006 so had a valid work visa while awaiting GC)
3. I-765 and I-131 Approval - May 15, 2018
4. I-485 Interview scheduled for Apr, 02 2019
5. I-485 New Card has been ordered - April 03,2019
6. I-485 Case has been approved notification April 04, 2019

Interview Experience: Scheduled for 10:50 AM
I prepared a lot of documents as you can see below for the interview, and the IO was very friendly. We checked in at 10:30 and were sitting in the waiting area. The IO came out around 11:00 AM and we were done with the interview at 11:26 AM. We walked in and she made me and my husband take the oath. Then she verified my name and DOB , same for my husband. At this point I gave her Table of Contents for the documents list and she laughed how much there was. I had a bankers box full of papers!! Then I let her know that we bought a house and address has changed and gave her the new address. She also took the deed/title and the escrow details for her file. Then she asked when did I last enter US and i gave the wrong date as dec 2 and my husband corrected and said jan 2, 2019 (we had gone to mexico for vacation). After which she asked a bunch of yes/no questions and asked my husband a few as well. She asked for my latest W2 and I gave her my W2, employer letter and tax for 2018. I also asked if she wants for hubby since he changed jobs and she said sure. Then I asked her if she needed something from the TOC list at which point she commented since my I-130 is already approved there is nothing additional needed. I insisted loads for her to pick from and asked if she wants to see our pics .. we have travelled to 16 countries together and she took them all. I had collages and she asked favorite countries we would recommend. Then I asked if she would like to see anything else; she said you guys are good. You shld have your update in a day once she enters everything in. Thats it, we shook hands and she walked us out. It was done in a blink of an eye!!

Moral of the story - prepare documents well and treat it like a chat vs something official. Be relaxed and if you have a legitimate relationship its easy.

Were you notified by mail for the interview or you checked online for it? I was never sent any emails or texts from USCIS. I applied April 2018 did Biometrics and received EAD/Advance Parole card in August and never heard anything again. What were your timelines? NYC

I applied for Greencard/EAD/Advance Parole April 2018. Received EAD/Advance Parole card August 2018 and will expire August 2019. How do I renew it? When can I renew it and how long does it take? Can I travel while it's pending? Plan on traveling end of July till end of August. Do I need to pay? Where can I get the form for it?

I've been a silent reader for sometime now.i have a question I'm married to a grown card holder of 11/01/2016. I130 approved June 2018. Aos October 2018..my file was sent to nvc then I decide to adjust my status..its been over 5 mts n case tracker still stuck on fingerprint recieved.

HI GUYS I KNOW THIS PERSON WHO CAME IN THE US ILLEGALLY SHE HAS A LAWYER THAT IS TRYING TO ADJUST HER STATUS!!!
SHES MARRIED TO A US CITIZEN AND SHES TRYING TO ADJUST STATUS.
THE LAWYER FILED I130 AND SHES WAITING FOR IT TO BE APPROVED TO CONTINUE WITH THE PROCESS.
SHE SAID THE LAWYER TOLD HER THAT SHE WILL NEED TO TRAVEL OUTSIDE THE US FOR 2-3 WEEKS TO COMPLETE FINGERPRINTS AND SO ON AND TO OBTAIN A VISA.

IDK I REALLY DONT TRUST THE PROCESS
I FEEL IKE IF YOU CAME IN THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY IT CANNOT BE FORGIVEN BY USCIS IDK.
SHE HAS A SON THAT WAS BORN HERE AND I FEAR THAT SHE WONT COME BACK TO RAISE HER SON

i guys my interview got scheduled for may 6
can we bring our 1 year old child to our interview?
can i get all my shots done at my personal doctor then take the record to the uscis civil surgeon to complete the other check up?????
or the civil surgeon has to give me certain shots??

I had my interview today and had it approved on the spot. They gave me approve letter. How many days do u wait to receive it ?? I wish it come soon coz I have to move

At the end of interview, IO said the case will be approved and visa will be generated when dates are current. I was not given any interview completion form.
I was going through posts in this forum, most of them were given the interview completion letter.
Anything to worry about? Anyone with similar experience?

Hi guyz I did my interview some time in September 29 last year,to date my status still says interview was scheduled,I did an info pass last week and luckily got through and was given an appointment for 9th next week,but last week received a letter from USCIS,stating reason for the appointment is interview and they further explained to bring any updated documents and reason for the appointment is interview,and that the interview may take 2-4hrs so we should plan accordingly.Our fast interview was very smooth there was nothing much question.Anybody with any advice now am bound to go next week 10 that’s wednesday.
