Interview Done
Hey Guys,

So I had my interview yesterday and it went pretty well. The IO didn't ask for any document except for the medical that was missing which I gave him. He asked us just few questions like how we met and where we work. He was very nice and seemed really young too. So after the interview, I asked him when should we be likely to get a response from him he said within 2-4weeks. But I noticed he didn't swear us in. Is this normal because I understand they are suppose to swear you in when they call you in for the interview.

Secondly, I got an email this morning that "we are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time". What does this mean? Please I need any response form those who have had this kind of experience.

Miami office and i485 dates
Hello everyone , on the USCIS website where one would check for the processing times , a week ago the date showing for the 485 miami office cases was October 2016 , then all of the sudden couple of day later it changed to APRIL 2016 !! Does anyone know if this is a mistake ? website glitch ? Am I wrong to be puzzled by this ?

Interview process
Hello everyone, I finally got my interview scheduled. Im really happy and nervous. I submited my forms back on Nobembre 27, 2017. I got my combo card on April 2018 and my interview got schedule on June 6, 2018. I'm still waiting for the actual interview date. I have a question and hopefully soneone can answer me. Do they tell you if you get approved at the end of the interview?? Or am I gonna have to wait for a responce in the mail?? I know every case is different but I'm just tired of waiting, also because I've been seeing that people who filed on January 2018 already have their green cards on hand. I hope I don't have to wait more time. Anyways good luck to everyone out there and congrats to everyone who is done with this process.

Urgent for people who already done with their AOS Interview
If you had a joint sponsor, did you go to the interview with just copies of form I-864 from the ones initially submitted when you first filed your case? Or you went with new tax returns document for the current year 2017? Please I need to know.

San Diego.
Hello everyone. I just got a quick question to ask. On June 1, 2018 I received a status update that my interview was scheduled which means I will be getting a mail with the interview date and time. I’d like to know how long it would take to receive that mail and any interview tips for the San Diego office? Cheers.

Deportation !!!
Folks, this wait is getting more than painful !!

I’ll tell you a story from today..

I guess the people who are getting their interviews and green cards should pray for others !! And be thankful for the fast processing..

It’s getting really bad !
At least now, i am thanking god millions times that i have my EAD now at least and started already preparing to apply for the second EAD..

So today on the way back from work, i walked by a manifestation in Manhattan, i thought it would be for Palestine or one of the big crisis around the world but people were raising signs where written Free Pablo, so i stopped and asked who is Pablo and what’s going on !! Pablo is a Hispanic man, working as a pizza delivery man on a bike, he’s married to a US citizen with 2 daughters and has a pending application with the USCIS.. he was detained because he doesn’t have a NY liscence or any official paper only his passport that has been taken from him !! I was like whaaaaat ! I opened my bag and grabbed a paper and wrote Free Pablo.. i still don’t believe this !! They give us receipts which can’t be used as an ID and they say they are studying the cases that can take forever , then suddenly you can be stopped and get deported !!
Really !!
I hope him, everyone the best and the fastest processing time possible !

Bad year for filers who filed in the end of 2016 and whole 2017
Have you guys noticed we are still waiting and waiting, keep calling USCIS and making SR... but they still put you in line tho your files are even good. They don’t mind, they keep working on 2018 applications. Who can protect us? They just changed the processing time without reasons and we must obey. That’s suck and very frustrating. Orlando office, up to 31 months. Gee. I postponed all my plans to visit family and friends, and work too. Does it make sense?

Approved on the spot!
Today we had our marriage-based green card interview in OKC.

We were scheduled for 1 pm. We live 2 hours away. We started out at 9:30 am. We hit the strongest band of heavy rain we have ever seen and my spouse is born and brought up here - even he said he had not seen anything like it, 3 inches of rain in 30 minutes. We had to get off highway and wait it out. We were having early lunch. Just then on google maps I saw that there was an accident and the traffic backed up and our driving time doubled. I was worried we were going to miss the interview. National Weather Service was sending flash flood emergency (not a warning, but an actual real emergency) notification to mobile phones. They were going off like crazy in the restaurant. But the rain let up. Google showed us a way around the accident. We reached about 24 minutes before the interview.

We were called in about 1:15. We were sworn and then we sat down. Showed passport and Driver's license. We chit-chat about where we were born, rain on the way etc. Then IO went over ALL the questions on I-485 form. It took about 20 min. Then IO asked what had we brought. I showed him my organized folder. He just took out all the supporting evidence and put it in my file. He didn't check or ask any questions at all. He took photos of 10 yr relationship, joint bank accounts, joint property, joint utilities, joint insurance, account beneficiaries. I gave him tax returns. He asked if they were joint. I said no as we were married in Feb this year. He did not take it.

Then he said the magic words and he said green card will show up in 2-3 weeks. We walked out and started driving back. 45 mins later I got Card in production notification by email.

Thank you all for all your help.
