Traveling within USA
Hey everyone, I have a quick question - I am currently waiting for my EAD (same sex marriage) but I would like to travel from NYC to Florida. My question is how safe is to travel by airplane, since I still don't have any US government issued ID (I only have passport from my home country with expired visa, overstayed 2.5 years)?
Is it ok for me to bring all of my receipts (i-485,i-756) and my marriage certificate, just in case?
My lawyer advised me not to travel by plane, but I see many people travel with no problems.
What is your opinion? Thank you!

GoT EAD renewed
EAD renewal PD:04/18/2017.
Made a SR on 07/17/2017.
Got a letter within 10 days telling me to wait 30 days.
Called again on the 17th of August.
EAD went into production on the 08/24/2017.
Received new EAD today.
...I called the USCIS helpline yesterday for the tracking number.
I was transferred to a level 2 officer. He turned out to be this very polite immigration officer.
After he gave me the tracking number for EAD,
I asked him if he can also look into my i485 which is pending since my interview at federal plaza, nyc on 04/06/2017.
It's 5 months since my interview.
He put me on hold and then told me that they will get back to me in 2 weeks.
Now I have to pray and hope I get good news soon.

New card ordered, SR works
Good news. I'm shaking as I type this. Been reading about people doing a SR. And oh it works like magic. I decided to do another service request today, few hours later, I got a text about an update and guess what it read "On August 31, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC **** **** **, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

I got a RFE so was waiting to hear from them on October 7 but hey they are producing my card. If you don't believe in SR now is the time. My PD was April 26

San Francisco interview - PD: 11/25/16 - Case Approved
Hi there,
Bellow are my timeline and interview experience. Hope them helps.

My spouse is US citizen. We married while my F1 visa was still valid under OPT.

_Timeline_
PD: 11/25/16
Bio: 01/06/17
Case ready for interview on 02/27/17
EAD: 03/02/17
Interview notice: 07/27/17
Interview date: 08/28/17
Received a notice said that card on production on 08/29/17
Case approved on 08/30/17 for I-485 and I-130

_Interview experience_
The interviewer is a Caucasian lady at her 50s. She was very intimidating at first.
She asked us if the information on the I-485 application is correct. Then went over yes/no question on the I-485.
After that, she started asking question about us.
1. Where did we live? Who were our roommates? How to spell their names?
2. What schools did we graduated from? What year?
3. Where did we work? What are the occupations? Explained what we did for the company.
4. Why did we decide to get married? When and where?
She took pretty long on those questions thou. I felt like it was half an hour. Then our lawyer reminded her that we also brought photo album, joint documents if she want to take a look at them. She looked at them, pointed at few pics and asked who were those ppl in there.
Then she looked at our graduation photos and asked how did we feel when we were in school. My spouse had a little chit chat with her about career wise. Then she said we could go, she had to do a background check before making her decision, also told me to remove the conditions after 2 years.

The day after, I got a text msg noticed me that they ordered my card. The next day is another notice saying that my case is approved.

Let me know if you have any questions about the process. I'm more than happy to answer.
Thank you,
