Renewing EAD
I think I’m going to have to renew my EAD since I feel like it’s going to expire before I get my GC.
How far in advance should I submit my application for renewal? Will it take 6mon to get my new EAD like last time ? Or will it be faster ?
If anyone can let me know your experience, greatly appreciated.

New Card Being Produced - 6 weeks after interview
Hi all - sharing my timeline as seeing all of yours has been really helpful.

Marriage based AOS - Canadian, on TN status. New York (Brooklyn) Filer. Same Sex Marriage.

Based on what I'd read about NYC, we were surprised to get the interview notice 13 months after filing.

Interview was straight forward. Standard questions about birth date, parents names, address, date of marriage. Then about when we met, how we got engaged, who was at the wedding. We had a binder with copies of all the evidence (lease, banks statements, insurance policies, travel tickets, utility bills) and photo album - we left about 20 photos with the agent. Maybe 30 minutes total.

We got the white paper saying no decision but no additional info required. The IO indicated we'd hear back within 30 days but didn't give us any indication of how it went.

Should add that I (immigrant) have arrest record/charge that was dismissed from years ago. Brought certified copies of the court record. The IO took copies, asked a few questions on what happened and what the disposition was, and said it wasn't an issue.

Case status for I-485 and I-130 changed overnight to "Interview Completed but Case Must Be Reviewed". I-130 changed to approved 6 days later.

Just shy of 6 weeks after the interview I hadn't heard about the I-485, I called USCIS and requested a Tier 2 Officer and, after being told there was a 403 minute wait, received a call back 403 minutes later. I explained that the IO said we'd hear back in 30 days. She gave the standard "They have up to 120 day response" but when I asked if I could submit a service request she told me not to. She said the SR would take my filed away from the IO and I'd be put back at the bottom of the pile after they reviewed it, and that she could see that my file was still with the original IO (apparently a good sign) and that it was in the "final decision stage". She said she thought I'd hear back imminently. Two days later my status changed to "New Card Being Produced". I don't know if this is coincidental, but I'm pretty happy - especially with the holidays coming so that I can travel to Canada.

Long story short, be patient, especially if you are not one of the lucky ones that get approved same-day. Good luck!

Baltimore... case completed?
I submitted an inquiry for my i485 as taking longer on 11/6 and when I checked the status on monday it said that it had been assigned to an officer that day.... I checked today and it says we sent a response to your inquiry and another one that say inquiry about your case was completed and that a letter will be sent. The status hasn't changed to approved or denied and I am super nervous. Anyone had this happened to before?

How many SR can you submit?
I have 4 receipts numbers for i485, i130,i131 and i765

How many times can I raise SR at one time? Can I only do one SR total or I can do one each for each receipt (for example my i131 and i765 since they are now currently out of normal processing time)

I raised 2 srs and no officer assigned to mine before and they didnt respond by their deadline date they gave me.

How do they usually respond to sr? Do you get email everytime they are updating something on your sr? Or how do you know if they are working on your sr or not? Uscis account?

Any input will be appreciated!

your case is being held for review
Hello Guys ! I Had my interview today in Kendall/ Florida. We weren't separated, the interview took about 40 minutes, the IO was very polite, but at the end she gave a paper saying case is being held for review and we have 120 days to answer. She said that I will receive the answer either asking for more prove or i will get my green card. She also gave me in the beginning of the interview a paper explain the procedure to renew to a permanent green card 90 days before expire. I was expecting to get a answer at spot but I didn't get an answer.
About interview she was really nice, but she made a lot question in my opinion.
Why I came to the USA?
Why I decide to stay here?
If I worked , where? how long?
His ex wife name?
Why did i get in love for my husband?( the same question to my husband)
If I meet his Kids ? (he has 2 kids)
She asked him ( my husband) why my mommy wasn't at the wedding ? and he said because she passed away last year.
She asked me all places my husband worked in the last 2 years.
Why his family wasn't at the wedding ?
How did we meet?
Which places did we go after we meet?
How was the proposal?
How many people was at the wedding?
Who was at the wedding?
How much was the wedding ?
Where was the wedding ?
His birthday?
what I used to do before in my country?
His Mommys name?

Asked him what my dads name?
What we have in common?

She asked for evidence and we give her.
Joint bank account
bills together.
current rental lease and we also gave the previous rental lease.
Rental insurance
car insurance.
and then she asked to see our photos, we had 2 albums one was from the wedding about 80 pictures and when she was looking at it the said that the photos looks really nice. And then she saw the second album witch was since the beginning of our relationship and in the middle of the second album she said ok i saw enough.
And then she said you are gonna receive an answer by mail either for more evidence or your green card, thanks and have a nice day.
that was it.
I answered all correct the questions.
we finished the interview and i don't know if it was a positive or not.

Traveling With EAD/AP Combo Card
Hello,

My husband received his EAD/AP Combo card awhile back. Our interview has yet to be scheduled.

We will be traveling back to his home country for Christmas this year.

Any advise on what documents he absolutely needs to have on him and what is just good to have "in case of emergencies".

I look forward to any advice!

Thank You!
