My wife Applied for B1/B2 visa (VISITOR FOR PLEASURE) for 6 months. The sponsor is my
Son-in-law, who is in Texas,USA. We collected all the required Sponsor’s documents and submitted all the documents in one folder for verification purpose. Bank Papers,Tax Statements,Salary Stub,Educational US Evaluation were returned immediately on receipt of it , but other documents like Letter to Consulate, Invitation Letter, Employer’s letter,I-134 ,(I-94 / I-129 / I-797A-all in one page),Sponsor’s Passport Copy, Birth Certificate, Marriage Registration were returned after 15 minutes.(I presume they would have taken the copies through their scanning machine). Passport and Ds-156 were not returned on the day of interview.
In the interview questions like, who is in US? , How long they(Daughter & SIL ) stay in US? , Who will take care of your family in India during your absence period ? Why husband is not accompanying you ? were asked. After answering the simple questions , my wife was asked to pay Rs. 2300 in the adjancent counter, which is visa issuance fee. Other Two Fees like Rs.400 and Rs.4600 were also paid prior to the interview.
After 24 hours she got her passport with visa stamping for 10 years-B1/B2 , through local courier. Thanks to the website , which helped us to face the interview with 100% confidence.
