1797 extension
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the extension,
I received my receipt about the extension ( not the original doc ) because I used an attorney the actual document was mailed to them. Tho they claim they never received it, so I have to get infopass appointment to get my passport stamp they offer me a 3 month or 12 month stamp, I opted out for the 3 month because otherwise they will take my expired green card away and I use it for “ready lane”(Faster lane to cross back to USA) ( I live in a border town and cross to Mexico on my days off to visits my parents ). Anyway so my stamp was expired April 8th and since office are closed I am not able to renew my stamp, so I was going through my paperwork and I noticed that my attorney have provided a photo copy of the actual original I797 extension notice, so I called the and ask them if I could have the extension and I explain the whole issue with office being closed, they said they never received it, so I question, how come you have a photo copy of it? They said that what they got from USCIS, which I find odd, I don’t think USCIS will send a photo copy.
Now my question it’s, is it that possible? Or my attorney list the extension and they just making things up?
Also I been trying to get another original document by calling and they have direct me to send a request to this lockbox email, but I haven’t been successful of getting one in the mail.
Have any of you have any thoughts? I am little bit confused about why my attorney “didn’t get it” or why didn’t I.

Please share your thought or advice

Thanks!
