Hi All,
I had Visa Interview on 10/10/2019 for H1B extension and got 221G white slip. Visa officer asked simple questions for Employer, Client, Job duties and Master's Degree. Passport and I797 is retained by officer and mentioned that they do not need anything from me. When asked about how much time it will take, he replied he don't know. I am thinking of getting passport back and travel to India until processing is done. I can travel back to Canada and get stamped when processing is done.
Please share your thoughts on below points.
1. Is it fine to take passport back during admin processing and travel to India?
2. What is mode of communication to get passport back?
