Adjustment of Status - I-485

We had an interview last year in November and Rfe was requested after the interview. After submitting the evidence our i130 was approved but it's been over 6 months now and no response from Uscis. I've done SR and I was told processing time takes 24 months now. I'm hoping I didn't hear that well. Called congressman's office and I was told I need to come over with my wife. I thought all you needed to get a congressman to help was an email. I've sent an email as well and I'm awaiting a response. USCIS needs to do better. I've tried my best to forget about it and just live but information like this is just disheartening. 24 months? What's your experience guys and what do u recommend? God see us through.
