Dallas Field Office - Interview Experience
Hello there, I just wanted to provide an update on the journey!

PD: December 27, 2016
Biometrics: February 1st, 2017
Ready to schedule interview: February 15, 2017
EAD: April 4, 2017
Moved and changed address with USCIS: August 2017
New "ready to schedule interview" message after address was updated: September 25, 2017
Interview notice: February 7, 2018
Interview date: March 14, 2018

For the interview today, we showed up at 12 (interview was at 12:30), we checked in and after waiting for about 25 minutes the officer called us in. The officer was trying to take away the tension and started talking to us about random things while we got started. He swore us in and started asking my husband (the petitioner) questions about the I-130, basically just to confirm his name, date of birth, and where was he born; then he asked me the same type of questions reading off the I-130 form and the updated medical exam. After he was finished with that he asked my husband for the wedding date and how we met. The officer proceeded to ask me the yes/no questions from the applications and asked us if we had any other documents we would like to submit as evidence, I started getting a little bit nervous because he asked for a photo in our apartment or a lease agreement but we didn't have either, however we submitted renters insurance paperwork, more photos, life insurance showing we are our mutual beneficiaries, car purchase documents as well as insurance. At the end he did not approve us on the spot, he said he would like to review the documents but that overall everything looked good and we should hear from them withing 7-10 with either the Welcome letter or request for more evidence. Before we left he started talking to us as if he had approved the application. started giving us advice, and congratulated us and wished us a long and happy marriage.

Hopefully we'll hear from them soon! I'm tired of this waiting game!
