Field office vs. Service centers
I am having a hard time determining who really processes your I-485. I understand the interview happens at the nearest field office, but who really processes your I-485? The reason I am asking is to know which processing time to look at on the USCIS website.
In any cases, something does not add up: the link below shows which center can process an I-485, and it only shows service centers, no field offices.

https://www.uscis.gov/forms/service-center-forms-processing

But then, on that same website, you can also check I-485 processing time for all the USCIS field offices, as if I-485 were processed by field offices.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Alex
