A testimony
Good day all,
If you all have read my very first post you would have seen that it wasn't a happy one. A lot of people posted about God being good to them, but God has been amazingly good to me. I got married to my husband October 7, 2016. PD DECEMBER 5. My husband became very abusive about 3 weeks after we got married, he argued and threatened me, to hit , kill me or to cancel the application. I prayed night and day, I am a lot smarter than he is so, the only thing he did re the filing was his signature and provided documents. I kept the receipts from him. On December 26, his threats came to pass where he hit me and I locked him up. We went to court and I had protective order. I struggled for a month and half with bills. At his trial he was going to go to jail because I had so much evidence that I was collecting over the few months that he was threatening me.
Before the trial his mom called me and said she asking me not to send him to jail and she wanted me to call him, but they already had the evidence so I couldn't do anything about that. But I prayed about it and the answer was to call him. He pleaded first offense and is now on probation and I ask them to add no hostile contact with me to his probation. I decided to give him a second chance since VAWA, takes forever and I would have to move in a shelter and depend on government to take care of me. Thank be to God, I got my work permit and my interview is May 2.
After he left I basically gave up on God because I felt like my prayers weren't being heard, however my mom and sister never stopped praying. If we have faith and believe God will always make a way. Hebrews 11:1 now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
