Adjusting status after DACA
Not sure if anyone had the same questions.
I was unable to find certain answers online regarding Adjusting my status (marriage based)after having DACA.
Since I had a work permit through DACA, I was able to use it ( 2 months after expiration date) for my biometrics appointment ( checked before my appointment). This saved me the time and money of having to renew my Mexican Passport.
Once I received my New employment authorization card, I wasnt sure how to obtain a new license.
Mine had been expired for 3 months & had renewed it twice in the pass ( through DACA)
Long story short, I was able to renew my license without having to retake the exam.
Used a regular renewal application & also needed to take my old employment authorization card.
I was told I was unable to renew it online because they needed to sacan the new employment authorization card.
I hope this Can save someone else the 7 hours I spent at the DMV having to find out the correct forms & having to go back for my old employment authorization card. ;)
